Footage has been released showing one of Fred Talbot’s interviews to Greater Manchester Police.
Talbot was today found guilty on two counts of molesting boys during his time as a teacher at Altrincham Grammar in the 1970s.
During the clip, Talbot offers a “no comment” to several questions but then appears to accidentally confirm that the writing in his diary was his.
He goes on to explain that the asterisk marked next to a number of entries in his diary related to the times he had a panic attack.
He later admitted to police that it was indeed a code denoting sexual activity having taken place.
