Altrincham Kersal secured a superb victory amid atrocious conditions at Stelfox Avenue to secure an instant return back to North West 1.
Kersal dominated throughout the South Lancs/Cheshire Division One title decider against second-placed Liverpool St Helens, forging 12-0 ahead in the first half and holding on after the break to secure a 24-7 victory.
The win means Kersal wrapped up the title with two games still to play – and also preserved their 100% home record.
