Where no one is currently registered, residents have already been informed.Theresa Grant, electoral registration officer for Trafford, said: “This really is the last chance for people to make sure they are registered. Anyone who wants to make their choice count in these vital elections need to make sure they are registered without delay.“We’ve been making strenuous efforts to make sure everyone is aware that they need to be registered. But we can’t register them unless they provide the information we require. Anyone who has been putting it off should act now before it’s too late.”Registering can be done online in under five minutes at www.gov.uk/registertovote – you just need to have your National Insurance number handy.Anyone who is on the electoral register and eligible to vote can sign up for a postal vote. For 7 May, the deadline for your postal vote application to be received is 5pm tomorrow, Tuesday 21st April.
