Here’s a first look at Sugo Pasta Kitchen, Altrincham’s newest Italian restaurant, which opens tomorrow.
Specialising in Southern Italian cuisine, it’s been launched by Alex De Martiis and Jonny Marcogliese, who met while working at Honest Crust in Market House.
“A lot of places do pasta,” Alex told us when we spoke to them a few weeks ago, “but our inspiration has come from a mutual feeling that pasta isn’t properly represented over here. Most Italian restaurants cater for English tastes, using ingredients that aren’t right and sometimes not the best quality.”
The new restaurant, which is located just yards from Market House on Shaw’s Road, is open every day except Mondays, from 12-3 at lunchtime and 5-10 in the evening (12-6 on Sundays).
