A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a 43-year-old woman in Timperley.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack, which happened on Mossfield Road at around 9.30pm on Thursday, October 1.
An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) and have been bailed until November 26.
Police are particularly keen to speak to a man in a black car who helped the woman after the assault.
Detective Constable Dave Stevenson, of Trafford division, said: “I am keen to speak to the man, described as white in his late 20s or early 30s and wearing a burgundy hooded top as he may have key information to assist this investigation.
“I would also urge anyone else who witnesses the attack to get in touch with the police.”
