A brother and sister were threatened by armed men during an aggravated burglary in Hale that resulted in a £20,000 watch being stolen.
The 36-year-old victim and her brother were at home on Westgate when the house was approached by three men armed with a baseball bat.
Having climbed in through an upstairs window, the men then searched the bedrooms before heading down the stairs to the lounge.
They then confronted the victim and her brother and demanded the victim hand over the watch she was wearing.
Having snatched the watch, the offenders ran out the front door.
The first offender is described as around 5ft 7in tall, slim-medium build and wearing a black-hooded top with the hood up, black gloves and a full face mask in black.
The other two men were wearing similar dark-coloured clothing.
Detective Inspector Helen Bell said: “We believe this was a targeted burglary and the offenders were specifically looking for the watch.
“At this time we are not linking this to any other robberies or aggravated burglaries in the area.
“We have increased patrolling in the area, and we are encouraging anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact police.”
