Thirty animals, including chickens, ducks and geese, have been stolen from a property in Timperley.

Police were called to the house on Wood Lane after thieves took the birds between 5.30pm yesterday evening and 10.25am today.

The private residence has a small holding that backs on to Thorley Lane.
