The number of animals thought to have been stolen from a farm in Timperley has been revised up from 30 to 70.

The number of animals thought to have been stolen from a farm in Timperley has been revised up from 30 to 70.

Police were called to the house on Wood Lane after thieves took the animals – including chickens, ducks and geese – between 5.30pm on Sunday and 10.25am yesterday.

The private residence has a small holding that backs on to Thorley Lane.

It’s understood the offenders cut padlocks attached to sheds in order to gain entry. No further information is known about how the animals were stolen.

A Facebook update from officers at GMP Trafford South read: “Further to yesterday’s post regarding the pets that were stolen from Wood Lane, Timperley on 30th November, there were 70 animals taken altogether, including chickens, ducks and geese.

“Did you witness anything, or see any suspicious activity in the area, or do you have any information? Please report to 101 or anonymously on Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.”
