G.I.F.T. – standing for Great Ideas, Fabulous Things – opened just over a year ago in Millfield Court but will be moving in a few weeks to the unit formerly occupied by Transform Cosmetic Surgery.

At 1,000 sq ft, the new unit is three times the size of the shop’s existing base.

Owner Louise Duerr told us: “We’ve been really happy here and it’s been a great place to get the business off the ground and going, but we’ve outgrown the space as there are so many more things we want to stock.

“It’s a unique spot but ideally I wanted something on Ashley Road. I want to do a lot more homeware and kitchenware. I go down to a lot of trade shows down in London and see a lot of really nice, contemporary homewares, and the new unit gives me a lot more space to stock it.”

Duerr had signed a 10-year lease on the Millfield Court spot but has managed to quickly find a new tenant on behalf of her landlord.
