Up to five males broke into the Altrincham branch of Sainsbury’s this morning and stole a quantity of items from the cigarettes’ kiosk.
The Lloyd Street branch was targeted at 3.15am this morning and while the store is open today, the kiosk is currently closed.
Police said that four or five males entered through the front door, and a picture from the scene showed damage to the automatic doors.
A spokesperson for the store confirmed to us that a number of night staff had been inside the store at the time, but were unharmed.
