Fire crews are continuing to tackle a blaze near Timperley station.
Two fire engines are at the scene of the blaze at a tyre yard on Skelton Road.
Timperley Tyre & Auto Ltd is based on Skelton Road but it’s not yet confirmed whether this is the source of the incident.
The fire services were called to the scene at 3.08pm this afternoon.
Tram services between Altrincham and Timperley have now restarted having temporarily suspended due to the black smoke wafting across the tracks.
