The Mercure Bowdon Altrincham Hotel – better known simply as the Bowdon Hotel – has been put up for sale for £3.75m.
The Langham Road property, consisting of 87 en-suite bedrooms, restaurant, bar and meeting rooms, is on the market on a freehold basis with specialist business property adviser Christie & Co.
Also included are the hotel’s leisure facilities, including a gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room.
Christie & Co is inviting offers for the properties “free and clear of the current management” but with the benefit of a franchising agreement with Accor under its Mercure brand.
The hotel is one of six Mercure-branded hotels – including three in the North West – that have been put up for sale.
The others are in Chester, Hertfordshire, Wigan, Telford, Wolverhampton and Wigan.
Jeremy Jones, head of brokerage – hotels, at Christie & Co, said: “These hotels are each located within vibrant regional UK trading markets. Initial interest has been very encouraging on a group, sub-group and single asset basis.”
Current annual revenue at the Bowdon Hotel is just under £2million.
