Altrincham has been named the second best place in the UK to bring up a family, according to a new study.
Property specialists Leaders highlighted the town’s schools as the “number one reason to move your family to Altrincham”.
It added: “The town, part of the sophisticated commuter belt just south of Manchester, is home to a number of high-performing institutions.
“Many people choose to buy a home in certain streets several years in advance just to ensure their children secure places in their chosen primary school. Altrincham is connected to Manchester via the Metrolink, so commuting to the city is incredibly easy.”
