Police are searching for a teenager after a 15-year-old boy suffered horrific injuries in an assault on the fields of Altrincham Kersal Rugby Club.
The incident happened on the fields off Stelfox Avenue in Timperley between 6pm and 6.30pm on Friday, June 3rd.
The boy was punched in the face twice and suffered a bruise to the brain and fractured cheek bone, injuries described by police as “serious”.
Police are now searching for a mixed race male aged about 16, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with short dark hair shorter on the sides than on top.
He was said to be with a group of between 10 and 12 youths, all about the same age.
