Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered a broken hand during an unprovoked attack in Altrincham.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman suffered a broken hand during an unprovoked attack in Altrincham.

The incident happened at around 3am on Sunday May 1st outside the area around Canada Grill and Nick’s Lounge on Railway Street.

The 20-year-old sustained a broken hand and facial injuries during the assault and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Constable Rebecca Mills, of GMP’s Trafford Borough, said: “This attack took place on a busy Bank Holiday weekend and we believe that there may have been several witnesses.

“I would like to urge anybody with information to please come forward and contact police.”
