The newest venue on Altrincham’s burgeoning night-time scene arrives tonight – Après Wine Bar, on Shaw’s Road.
Just yards from the entrance to Market House and in the unit formerly occupied by long-standing second-hand bookshop Bookline, Apres is intended to be a “classical” wine bar with a selection of accompanying appetisers and desserts.
It also boasts a subterranean wine cellar, to be used for private functions and twice-monthly wine tastings.
Apres officially opens on Friday July 1st and will be open seven days a week from 12 til 12, with a late licence until 2am at weekends.
Tonight and tomorrow, from 7pm until midnight, it’s holding preview nights to which anyone is invited.
