Information provided to Altrincham Today by Zoopla has revealed that the average price of a house in the town is now £468,955, up from £381,675 just three years ago.
That compares with a current national average of £289,323.
The average property value is based on a combination of Zoopla estimates and sold price data from the Land Registry.
The most expensive street in Altrincham is Broadway in Hale, where houses are valued at an average of almost £2.8m.
The data also reveals that houses in Altrincham are almost £200,000 more expensive than Cheadle, the next most expensive place to live in Greater Manchester.
In Cheshire, Altrincham is marginally ahead of Knutsford but well behind Alderley Edge, where the average house is priced at a whopping £615,658.
