Police have confirmed that an attempted abduction took place in Altrincham earlier this week.
The attempted kidnap of a 17-year-old girl took place between 9.15pm and 10.15pm on Sunday August 7th on Moss Lane, close to Tesco in Altrincham.
The teenager was said to have been left “extremely shaken” after being attacked while walking home.
Reports on social media suggest it was only the actions of the girl’s friend which forced the attackers to flee.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2528 of 7/8/16.
