The two white males threatened the manager of the McColls store on Shaftesbury Avenue, close to the junction with Stockport Road.

A large amount of cigarettes were taken and the manager, though shaken, was unhurt.

One of the vehicles used in the incident had been stolen from a burglary a short while earlier on Woodlands Parkway, when a back door was smashed and the vehicle’s keys stolen.

A second vehicle was also taken, and both – a grey BMW X5 Estate (reg no WU63 EJA) and a silver BMW 320 (reg no MM12 ERY) are still missing.

Police have described the offenders as white Males, both slim, with one shorter than the other.
