Dunham Massey Lawn Tennis Club is to hold a free family fun day on Saturday as part of the ‘I am Team GB’ campaign.

Dunham Massey Lawn Tennis Club is to hold a free family fun day on Saturday as part of the ‘I am Team GB’ campaign.

Anyone aged over six years of age is invited to join the members at the Woodhouse Lane club between 2 and 4pm this Saturday.

The event is timed to mark the homecoming of Team GB’s Olympians from Rio, where Andy Murray brought home a tennis gold medal.

Dunham Massey Lawn Tennis Club was established in 1920 and is one of the oldest clubs in North Cheshire.

All levels, from absolute beginners to more advanced, are welcome.

The club’s marketing officer, Sue Bailey, said: “The ‘I am Team GB’ is a fantastic initiative to become involved in and try a new sport. Tennis is a great way to keep fit.

“You don’t have to be an Olympian to be part of Dunham Massey Lawn Tennis Club,
it’s a case of being active and getting involved and having fun too.”
