Hundreds of bikers formed an unforgettable procession through Altrincham in honour of an 18-year-old motor neurone disease victim.
Jamie Havern, a biking enthusiast from Lymm, died earlier this month after being diagnosed with the degenerative disease last year.
His mother Susie had issued a Facebook appeal for bikers around the region to give him a memorable send-off – and they duly responded with an incredible turnout when Jamie was laid to rest on Friday.
Hundreds were seen processing along Dunham Road on their way to Altrincham Crematorium, having gathered outside the teenager’s family home in Lymm.
An online fundraising appeal to pay for the funeral had also raised £3,000 in only 48 hours.
Jamie, who had begun a college bricklaying course before falling ill, leaves behind his mum, two young brothers and a younger sister.
Tragically, his father Scott had died suddenly only three months ago.
