A man has been charged after the death of a nine-year-old girl in a collision in Altrincham in May.
Chizoro Barnabas Edohasim, 47, of Huntspill Road in Timperley, was today charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Edohasim has been bailed to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on Wednesday October 19th.
Olivia Edohasim was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on Saturday May 7th when the black Toyota Auris she was travelling in hit a brick wall by a block of flats near the junction of Manchester Road and Stamford Brook Road.
At the time it was reported that car was being driven by her father.
Paying tribute to her, a statement from her family read: “This little bundle of joy was gladly welcomed and breezed through her milestones with ease.
“She brought smiles to all faces at all times and was the star daughter, sister, granddaughter and god daughter.
“She will be greatly missed by all of us but will remain in our thoughts and hearts forever.”
