Dog-owners have been warned to take care after it was reported that at least one dog has died after being poisoned on the Devisdale.
The Trafford Council-owned land in Bowdon, which neighbours Denzell House and Gardens, is a popular local spot for dog walking.
But The Friends of Denzell Gardens and the Devisdale group has now confirmed that a dog has died after walking on Devisdale last week, apparently after eating poisoned chicken and sausages.
The group added on its Facebook page that it knew personally of the owner of the dog that had died.
There are other, as yet unconfirmed, reports that a second dog has also died in a similar manner.
