The manager of a Hale Barns GP surgery who stole thousands of pounds from the practice has been ordered by a judge to pay back a further £5,000.
Clare Richardson, 35, regularly overpaid herself while in charge of payroll at the surgery between 2008 and 2012 and was convicted of stealing £20,611.
She was jailed for two years, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work.
She has now paid back the sum she stole, but following a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing at Minshull Street Crown Court, has now been ordered to repay another £5,000.

Judge Angela Nield said: “I have heard that an agreement has been reached, an agreement reached after what I can only assume have been lengthy and detailed discussions.
“There are a number of significant and unusual issues in this case. All parties are satisfied with the agreement reached.”
Judge Nield ordered Richardson to pay back the £5,000 within 28 days or she would face three months in prison.
Despite her conviction Richardson, of Powder Mill Close, Irlam, is now employed in the same role at Chapel Medical Centre in Irlam.
