Riddles Bar is to mark its second birthday by inviting customers to an exclusive party later this month.

The speakeasy-style cocktail bar, which opened on Greenwood Street in 2014, has become a firm favourite on the Altrincham nightlife scene.

Its second anniversary coincides with Halloween, so Riddles is holding a Vintage Masquerade Party on October 29th which will feature live music, a traditional cut-throat barber, a bourbon-based birthday cake and a vintage shoe-shiner.

Guests are asked to get into the spirit with a vintage 1920s dress code, or Halloween masks.

Owner Del Lowe said: “We always believed that Altrincham would bounce back to its former glory and it’s been amazing to be part of its current growth and development. We truly have been blessed with the public support and hope to be still here as a local independent for many years to come.”

Spaces are limited for the event, so guests are asked to book in advance by visiting www.riddlesbar.com or contacting the bar direct on 0161 929 8053.

Del’s partner, Emma Rostaing, added: “The first two years have been fantastic. Our Altrincham customers have really welcomed us to the town, and we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate our second anniversary with everyone who has supported us.”
