A lone woman managed to escape after being threatened by a gang in Timperley on Saturday.
The woman was approached by a group of five males while walking close to the junction of Langham Grove and Heyes Lane at around 8pm.
They demanded the victim’s phone, but she refused and ran away.
Police have reminded people to remain vigilant when unaccompanied.
