A police helicopter was scrambled yesterday to help track down two burglars who had been caught red-handed in Timperley.
Two males were arrested after being caught breaking into a property on Deane Avenue, off Wood Lane, at around lunchtime.
Greater Manchester Police said the helicopter was used to help track down the offenders while officers employed a “bit of garden hopping” in pursuit.
Police have asked for anyone with information about suspicious behaviour in that area yesterday to contact them on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
