A trial date has been set after a 34-year-old man pleaded not guilty to causing the death by dangerous driving of an Altrincham graduate last June.
Helena Thurm, 25, was hit by a black Vauxhall Astra close to the junction with Park Road on the A56 on Monday June 20th. She suffered serious head injuries and died the next day.
Glenn Wall, 34, of Lawrence Road in Altrincham, appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court yesterday charged with causing her death.
He pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and not guilty to causing death by careless and inconsiderate driving.
A trial of November 20th has now been set.
A statement from the family at the time described Helena as a “beautiful, kind, caring, intelligent and funny person who was loved by everybody”.
The former Altrincham Grammar School for Girls pupil worked as a bartender and online marketing coordinator for Riddles Bar, on Greenwood Street in Altrincham, and had previously worked at House bar in Goose Green.
