Bellway Homes is to build a new development of detached homes on land in Timperley that was formerly home to Crosby Nurseries.

The housebuilder has acquired the two-acre site off Wood Lane and will transform it into 16 four-bedroom detached homes. Planning permission has been secured.

It was formerly used by wholesale business Crosby Nurseries, which supplied bedding plants to retailers and garden centres.

Bellway says the development, to be known as The Nurseries, will encompass four different house types, each with a private garden and garage.

Louise Chamberlain, sales director at Bellway Homes, said: “The Nurseries promises to be a stunning development, tucked away in a leafy residential area of Timperley. The properties have been carefully chosen for this particular site and will certainly appeal to those looking for a quality family home in this sought-after Trafford location.

“The location of The Nurseries is fantastic for families with so many highly-regarded schools, some of the best in the country, close by. It is also ideal for professional people who want a simple and straightforward commute to work.”

Bellway has already started remediation work and construction of the homes is due to start imminently.

The first properties – for which prices are yet to be released – will be on the market from this summer.
