An elderly man has been taken to hospital after the car he was driving overturned close to Navigation Road crossing.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Wellington Road at 11.26 this morning.
A blue Skoda had flipped over just yards from the tram tracks by the Navigation Road tram stop.

The driver, described as elderly by police, was initially trapped in his vehicle before being released.
He has since been taken to hospital where his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
Trams between Timperley and Altrincham were suspended for around an hour after the incident but the service reopened by 12.25pm.
The car has now been removed from the scene.
