A special ‘Night at the Proms’ will headline the Saturday night line-up at the inaugural Hale Barns Carnival in July.
The outdoor performance will take place on Saturday 15th July and include a live orchestra, opera stars, choral performances, singers and spectacular pyrotechnics.
Prom classics will be performed alongside newer pieces by a full symphony orchestra.
Local artist Amanda Jane Heywood, who has worked with the likes of Billy Ocean and Alexander O’Neal, will also be performing, and there are a couple of “very special surprises” planned for the night.
Chart-topping disco legends Odyssey have already been announced as headliners on Sunday July 16th, with the event taking place on the St Ambrose Playing Fields.
Organisers said that demand for tickets to see the New York-based group – behind UK number one Use It Up and Wear It Out – had been “overwhelming”.
As well as the music, event goers will also be able to enjoy a variety of rides and attractions on the site, as well as craft and art stalls, artisan stalls, cooking demonstrations, animal displays, a classic car show, speciality beer tent, bouncy castle and rides, competitions and an outdoor cinema..
Tickets for the event are priced at £15 for adults but you can grab an early bird ticket before June 1st for only £10, with under 18s FREE.
