Global peri-peri chicken chain Nando’s has revealed the opening date for its new Altrincham restaurant.
As exclusively revealed on Altrincham Today last month, the restaurant chain is to open a new outlet in the former McDonald’s on the corner of Stamford New Road and Cross Street.
And it has now confirmed it will be opening the new restaurant on Wednesday August 2nd (UPDATE 27/6: the restaurant is now scheduled to open on Tuesday July 25th).
Nando’s Chickenland Ltd, the Nando’s owner, is currently fitting out the interior of the premises.
Lunar, the site’s owners, had previously undertaken a programme of improvements to the site – the home to McDonald’s for 23 years before its closure in 2007 – that lasted around five months.
Nando’s has already filled some positions for the new restaurant, including 1st Assistant Manager, and has begun a recruitment process for the remaining roles.
It already has 13 restaurants in the Greater Manchester area but, up until now, Nando’s Trafford Centre had been the closest to Altrincham.
