St Ambrose College actor Joshua Jorritsma has already been selected for two top summer shows after only two weeks with the popular youth drama company Garrick Performing Arts.

A talented all rounder with a range of acting, singing and stage talents, Joshua wants to study Drama at A Level and might want to pursue a career in West End musical theatre.

The 14-year-old from Altrincham is in the chorus of both Guys and Dolls at the Garrick in Altrincham and 9 till 5 at the Evans Theatre in Wilmslow Leisure Centre and can expect to be playing to sell-out audiences in mid-summer spectaculars.

Joshua Jorritsma will be treading the boards in Altrincham and Wilmslow this summer

He said: “GAPA is a great company to work with and learn from and who knows from small beginnings what will happen next, but I just want to enjoy every opportunity.”

St Ambrose College Head of Drama, Mair Bull, said: “I am not surprised that Josh has made such an impact after so short a time. He’s naturally talented with a strong work ethic and a good team player; the type of young performer every director would want to have in their show.”
