Two vehicles were stolen in separate burglaries in Hale last night – although one has since been recovered.
Thieves broke into a house on Cleveland Road just before 1am, damaging the patio doors and making off in a Mercedes AMG.
Officers said that, with the help of a police helicopter, the vehicle has now been recovered, and enquiries are continuing.
In a separate incident, a silver Ford Transit connect was stolen overnight from a house on Ashley Road.
It is unsure at this time how the offender/s gained access to the keys.
The registration number is AJ60 UXY.
