Students at Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College are celebrating excellent A-level examination results.

Executive Headteacher John Cornally said he was “delighted to see so many outstanding results” and that the school’s percentage of A*–B grades had again increased this year.

He added: “This increase in the top grades has ensured many of our students have secured places at prestigious universities such as Nottingham, Loughborough, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and St Andrew’s. On Thursday morning the Sixth Form building was full of happy students, staff and families all celebrating the success of our students.

“I am equally delighted and very grateful to our staff who have successfully supported students through some major changes to A level courses over the last year and ensured the students received the best teaching and guidance.”

One of the students, Kaleb Marchan (pictured top, with headteacher John Cornally), also managed to complete the amazing record of having attended every school day for his seven years at the school. Kaleb will continue his studies in Liverpool.
