A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenager was stabbed in a Timperley park yesterday.
Police were called at around 5.55pm to reports that a teenager had been stabbed on a basketball court in Pickering Lodge Park.
The 16-year-old was taken to hospital with a stab wound to the chest where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
Another boy, also aged 16, was assaulted.
Officers attended and a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
