A new Italian restaurant is set to open its doors in Altrincham town centre on Valentine’s Day.
Tre Ciccio, which is aiming to channel the “passion, flavours and vibrancy of an Italian trattoria”, is the brainchild of chef Francesco Scafuri and two friends.
The concept was born “on a warm summer’s evening in Campania”, and the restaurant’s menu will take inspiration from Southern Italy, with dishes including speciality roast chicken and the region’s staple street food, Pizza Neopolitana.
Chef Scafuri – whose nickname is “Ciccio” – will run the Moss Lane restaurant on a day-to-day basis alongside general manager, Francesco Dore.
They will focus on “classic dishes”, with farm-reared chicken supplied by Johnson & Swarbrick in Goosnargh.
Set over two floors in the unit most recently occupied by Farina, the restaurant has undergone an extensive renovation and now counts 50 covers downstairs, an upstairs seating area and an outside terrace with retractable roof (to be ready in March).
Open Tuesday to Sunday, Tre Ciccio serves breakfast from 10am and is open for lunch and dinner. It’s also open for takeaway.
Scafuri said: “We can’t wait to open our doors and let people experience what Tre Ciccio has to offer.
“This is an exciting time for us and we’re looking forward to seeing all our hard work come to fruition. We’re passionate about good food and we know the people of Altrincham will be just as passionate about us.”
