Police are hunting a lone offender after an armed robbery at the Co-op in Bowdon yesterday.
Officers were called to the Vicarage Lane store at 7.10 on Sunday morning.
They found that one male offender had entered the store, threatened a staff member and taken a sum of money.
He fled on foot before police arrived.
It’s not yet known in what way the offender was armed.
A police helicopter and a dog unit led the search for the offender but he is still outstanding.
