The Indian restaurant formerly known as New Dilli is to reopen next month as a brand new concept called Rasassi.
The Downs restaurant has recently closed its doors having considered that the Dilli offer – which had enjoyed a successful 15-year stint in Altrincham on Stamford New Road and latterly as New Dilli on The Downs – had run its course.
But the new Rasassi restaurant will open in around four weeks’ time with a promise to bring something new to Altrincham.
Manager Pankaj Sharma that the “fresh” new restaurant would bring a “completely new concept” with a menu that will “raise many an eyebrow”, with an acclaimed chef at the helm.
He added that it would mix “vintage preparation with an authentic and rustic Indian palate”.
