Police have released images of a man they want to speak to in connection with a gun incident in Broadheath in July.
We reported how at around 10pm on Tuesday July 3rd, a “number” of shots were fired on Peveril Road.
It has now transpired that the incident involved masked men confronting a man and firing a gun in his direction, before fleeing.
The man was uninjured, and firearms officers attended and recovered five shell casings from what is believed to be a blank-firing weapon.
Police have now released two images of a man in connection with the “terrifying” incident.
Detective Constable Emma Cyprien from GMP’s Trafford Division said: “Since this incident occurred, police have been following several lines of enquiry.
“This has included forensic and ballistics analysis, as well as looking at CCTV evidence.
“Police believe that this was an isolated incident and that the firearm used was a blank-firing weapon.
“However, this was a terrifying episode for the man confronted.
“We have now released images of a man that we would like to speak to as part of our investigations.
“If you recognise this man, or have any information on this incident, please contact police immediately.”
