FREE children’s workshops are being put on in Altrincham next week to help get the town looking its best for the Tour of Britain.
The final stage of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain – Britain’s biggest cycle race – is starting in Altrincham for the first time ever on Saturday 14th September.
It’s the country’s largest free-to-spectate sporting event, and there’s likely to be a huge influx of people into Altrincham on the day to watch 20 of the world’s top teams competing.
The craft workshops, organised by Altrincham Unlimited, Altrincham’s Business Improvement District, will run all next week from Monday August 26th until Saturday August 31st at Open Studios on Stamford New Road, opposite Altrincham Interchange.
Children will decorate a bike at the 45-minute workshops in readiness for the big day.
There are 20 places available for each session and pre-booking is essential – click the relevant link below to each session.
Workshops are suitable for children aged four and upwards, and each child must be accompanied by a guardian.
