A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Altrincham last evening.
The woman was hit by a blue Ford car, which also crashed into a wall close to the junction where Hawarden Road meets Navigation Road.
She was taken to the hospital after the incident, which happened just after 6.30pm, but the full extent of her injuries is not yet known.
A man who is thought to have been the driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
A large cordon was placed around the area and the road was closed for several hours last evening before reopening around 10pm.
Police are now asking for any witnesses, especially those who may have dashcam footage of the incident, to get in touch.

“The female is still being treated and the full extent of the injuries are as yet unknown.
“A male adult believed to be the driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
“The investigation is ongoing and we would appreciate any witnesses or other drivers who have dash cam footage of the incident contacting GMP.”
