McDonald’s to close seating areas in all UK restaurants

McDonald’s has announced it is to close the seating areas in all its UK restaurants, with effect from tomorrow morning.

The trio were also suspected of carrying out a robbery on McDonald’s in Altrincham Retail Park

McDonald’s has announced it is to close the seating areas in all of its UK restaurants, with effect from tomorrow morning.

The fast food giant, which has an outlet in the Altrincham Retail Park, said that “in light of recent updates from UK and Irish governments” regarding the escalating coronavirus situation, it was “temporarily changing our operations to ensure the wellbeing of our employees and customers”.

It added in a statement: “From 5am on Wednesday 18th March, all restaurants will close seating areas and temporarily move to being takeaway, drive-thru and delivery only

“In these unprecedented times, our restaurants will continue to remain open for as long as it is safe to do so.”
