A man’s body has been discovered in Goose Green in Altrincham town centre.
Police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man inside a premises adjoining Goose Green shortly before 11.20am today.
Emergency services attended and found the body of a man, believed to be in his 50s.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be passed to the coroner.
A police cordon has been set up on Back Grafton Street for most of the day while forensics specialists gather evidence at the scene.
