A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead in Broadheath.
Shortly after 12.35pm yesterday, police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a woman on Princess Street.
Emergency services attended and, despite the best efforts of paramedics, a woman in her 30s passed away a short time later at hospital.
A 55-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been released under investigation.
Two scenes are currently in place on Princess Street and Peveril Road in Altrincham.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death and enquiries remain ongoing.
