Insurance company A-Plan is calling on Altrincham residents to get behind Shop Local Week to help local businesses rebuild after the coronavirus lockdown.
Shop Local Week, which lasts all this week until August 16th, is part of the government’s Enjoy Summer Safely campaign, encouraging people to get back to the way of life they have missed, while following safety guidelines.
A-Plan Insurance, a leading UK specialist multichannel insurance broking group with over 800,000 policies nationally, opened its Stamford New Road branch – its 96th nationwide – in November last year.
The business prides itself on talking directly to its clients either in the branch or over the phone so is well placed to gauge public opinion.
And Matt Dodd, Branch Manager, said: “From a technical perspective we have managed to stay open using remote technology that enables staff to work from home, incredibly fortunate in that sense.
“Clients on the phone have experienced minimal disruption and have really valued talking to a human being. We are back in the branch now with the appropriate precautions in place.
“Altrincham is looking busy and it’s great to see people out supporting the local economy, the team and I are extremely proud to be playing a part in this.”
A-Plan is also keen to hear from local charities who want to be considered as a nominated charity partner for the remainder of 2020.
Clients will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred choice with the winning organisation then having the ability to receive a donation per policy sold when someone mentions that charity.
