Police are appealing for a teenage victim to come forward after he was subjected to a “terrifying” robbery at knifepoint in Altrincham.
Officers received a report at 8.46pm last evening that a male had been robbed at knifepoint on Moss Lane.
CCTV footage subsequently showed two teenage males stopping the teenager – who police believe to be around 14 – before ordering him to empty his pockets.
The victim did so before carrying on into Altrincham town centre.
The footage enabled officers to identify two teenage boys who were arrested a short time later on suspicion of robbery and possession of a bladed article.
Police are now hoping to encourage the victim to come forward so that they can check on his wellbeing.
Police Sergeant Jenni Harlow, of GMPs Trafford district, said: “This must have been terrifying for the victim, who we believe is around 14-years-old, and I’d ask that if you are reading this appeal, we would really like to check that you’re ok and to ask for your assistance in making sure the offenders face justice. Please get in touch.”
