A boy was found with a knife at Altrincham Interchange during a covert operation by police yesterday afternoon.
The 15-year-old was seen acting suspiciously and after a search, was found to have a knife as well as stolen property. He was arrested.
A second male who “took issue with the police presence” was then also arrested for a public order offence.
The arrests form part of Greater Manchester Police’s Project Servator, which sees police arrive unannounced at various locations across the region in a bid to “deter, detect and disrupt” a range of criminal activity while providing a “reassuring presence” to the public.
