A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a parked car in Timperley on Saturday evening.
Greater Manchester Police were called to Wood Lane at around 8pm following reports of a collision involving a solo motorbike rider and a stationary vehicle.
The rider, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital for treatment for what police described as potentially life-changing injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
Wood Lane was cordoned off for several hours following the crash, with a significant police presence near the parade of shops and traffic unable to pass through the area.
