Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was seriously injured after his bike collided with a lamp post in Timperley on Saturday evening.
Greater Manchester Police were called to Wood Lane at around 8.02pm after a Kawasaki ZR900 travelling along the road struck a lamp post.
The rider, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital for treatment for potentially life-threatening injuries.
Wood Lane was cordoned off for several hours following the crash, with a large police presence near the parade of shops and traffic unable to pass through.
Officers from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage from the area, to come forward.
