Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was found with serious injuries beside a country road near Hale.
The 34-year-old man, from Manchester, was found on Ashley Road near Ashley Mill Lane at about 8am on Sunday 16 August. He had been riding his bike and had very little recollection of what happened.
He suffered multiple serious injuries, including several broken ribs and a fractured skull, and remains in hospital.
Cheshire Police’s Roads and Crime Unit is investigating and wants to hear from anyone with dashcam footage or who saw the incident.
Police Sergeant Jon Dixon said: “The victim in this case has sustained a number of serious injuries and we’re committed to doing all we can to establish exactly what took place.
"At this time, the cyclist has very little recollection of what occurred and we’re keen to hear from anyone with any information which may assist our enquiries.”
